While we are currently gearing up for winter, summer will be here before you know it! Think summer, think kayaking, think All Out Adventures. We have group and individualized instruction for people of all abilities from our American Canoe Association certified instructors.
Introduction to Kayaking
Group Lessons
Join All Out Adventures certified kayaking instructors to learn the basics of kayaking. In our group lessons you will learn how to:
- Safely and easily enter and exit your kayak
- Efficiently maneuver your boat using the forward, reverse, sweep, and draw strokes
- Perform a wet exit
- Confidently practice solo and assisted rescues
Learning proper strokes and to efficiently maneuver your boat will maximize your enjoyment of kayaking. We use flatwater recreational boats for our lessons. The skills you learn will allow you to confidently paddle a similar boat on your own or will translate to sea kayaking as you progress in your skills and confidence.
$99/person includes:
- 6 hours of instruction from ACA-certified instructors
- Use of all necessary equipment, including kayak, PFD, paddle, and safety equipment
- Minimum of 5 students, maximum of 10
- Reasonable accommodations are available upon request. Students who will need one-on-one support may bring a caregiver at no additional charge.
All Out Adventures promotes health, community, and independence for people with disabilities and their family and friends through outdoor recreation. Our kayak lessons and individual instruction provide critical earned income that contributes to our ability to keep our calendar full of accessible recreation programs. By choosing to take your kayak instruction from All Out Adventures, you receive top quality instruction and contribute to the full inclusion of people with disabilities in recreation programming.
