Purchasing a recumbent trike from us is a win-win: you get our expertise with adapting and fitting trikes to people of all abilities, and the profits from your purchase will directly benefit the nearly 230 no or low cost adaptive recreation programs we run each year throughout Massachusetts for people with disabilities, seniors, and Veterans.
We offer high-quality accessories, components and solutions to adapt your trike to make riding possible for all.
We invite you to browse through the trikes that we typically stock and to stop by our shop to make a purchase in person. We do not ship items from our store. Please

Payment
We accept payment by cash, check, or credit card. Your purchase helps to support the 230+ low or no cost outdoor recreation programs for veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities and their loved ones that we operate throughout Massachusetts each year.
If you are able to, please consider paying by check. When you pay by credit card, we pay a 2.75% processing fee. Paying by check keeps our funds into programs instead of credit card fees.

Service
We service everything we sell! Our customers receive 10% off labor at our trike shop.
Please note: We do not service trikes from other brands. This includes upright-style adult trikes, e-assist systems bought online, etc.
Basic tune-up: $80
Repair and service: $80/hour
You can make an appointment to drop your trike off; plan to leave it with us a couple days for tuneups and simple repairs, longer if we need to order parts.
We can special order any trike from the brands above upon request. We can also put an e-assist on most models from these brands. Contact us to inquire about adaptations that can be made for riders of all abilities.

The Catrike 5.5.9 is a folding, comfortable, performance trike. The 5.5.9 is one of the most popular trikes at our cycling programs for Veterans and Seniors. The 5.5.9 features include an adjustable backrest and padded seat mesh. The rear drive wheel is 26" or 559mm, hence the name of the trike. The ingenious design of the Catrike’s folding frame with roller wheels allows you to load it in just about any vehicle. -

Catrike’s 16 years of engineering and experience have come together to create the Dumont. The rear suspension features a highly progressive travel path combined with a custom spring rate and sophisticated damping for a perfect balance of performance and comfort. The shock is actuated via a CNC machined swingarm pivoting on precision cartridge bearings to allow the suspension system to operate with seamless efficiency. Up front, the Dumont employs Catrike’s anti-dive patent-pending front suspension spindle to take the edge off while allowing all wheels to move independently. A well loved trike in good working condition. Durable and long lasting heavier trike that weighs approximately 53 pounds.
Delta style - two wheels in the back rather than the front. This means a tighter turning radius. The Voyager is controlled with two sidestick controllers that are attached to the front fork via a pair or linkage bars. To turn right, you either pull back on the right stick or push forward on the left.
If you’re carrying a large load on the back of the Penninger you can move both the seat and the bottom bracket forward, bringing your entire center of gravity forward in the process. This feature is also useful to center your weight and prevent any unwanted pitch-up when climbing on the trike. -

One of the most requested items our customers ask for is for a Trike that will hold a larger weight capacity than our standard 275lb weight limit. We spoke with many dealers and customers and asked them for a “wishlist” of items they would like to see on such a Trike.
- The wish list included:
- Folding- and flat folding preferred
- Higher Adjustable Seat & “Helper Bars”to make it easier to get in and
out of.
- A 400LB rider weight capacity.
- As light weight as possible.
- High End Components.
- Wide gearing range.
- Don’t break the bank- something in between the price of the 2 main
choices- Rover & Magnum.
With the Titan, we have successfully achieved everything on the wishlist. First and foremost was to insure that the Titan could handle the weight capacity- here’s how we did it. The Frame has thicker tubing, the wheels and spokes are heavier duty, the seat frame as well as the rear seat attachment are now Steel instead of Aluminum as on our other models. The biggest issue by far though was the hinge. There are 2 competing issues with hinges- if you put the hinge on the top it is much easier to fold. If you put the hinge at the bottom it is much much stronger, but it makes it incredibly awkward to fold because you have to lift the hinge up from the center instead of just folding the rear wheel over the top. At Trident Trikes we always think outside of the box , so we thought- Why not BOTH?! And while we are at it- let’s make the wheel fold flat!
We are pleased to introduce the rotating flat fold hinge. As you can see in the folding sequence, the Trike has a tube in tube design. First you release the locking mechanism, then you can rotate the hinge. Lastly once you have folded the wheel over, you can rotate it to do a flat wheel fold!! This gives us the strength to hold a 400 LB rider !!
The Trident Titan will also feature adjustable seat height – 14 5/8” to 16 ½” as well as a Quick Release seat angle adjustment. “Helper Handlebars” are also included to make getting in and out much easier- especially for people with physical disabilities.
Lastly are components. The Trident Titan will come standard with a Samox Crankset (52/42/30) with 165 mm Crankarms , and a Chainguard, a9
speed 11-34 cassette , Avid BB5 Brakes, and Schwalbe Big Apple Tires. Finally we made the decision to use Trigger Shifters. We love Trigger shifters, but they are not easy to use when they are mounted vertically. Since the Helper Bars are horizontal, it is the perfect choice.
Long Booms are also available ($50 additional) to accommodate riders up to 51″ X Seam
The Trident Titan weighs a ‘svelte’ 44 LBS. The Titan is available in Carolina Blue or Wolfpack Red.
*E-Titan* is a modified 9 Speed Titan- It uses an integrated system by a Japanese company called Dapu. It features a 350W Geared Hub Motor, a special Cranket with sensors, a 36V 13 AH Rack Mounted Battery with built in light, and a Digital Display. With this system you can choose between throttle only or 6 different levels of pedal assist.The 36v 13AH battery is much larger than other manufacturers use and will give you a much longer range- about 30 miles electric only and up to 75 miles using pedal assist. This entire package only adds 18.5 Lbs to a Titan!

With suspension! Trekkers are available in either a 20” Rear Wheel or a 26” Rear Wheel model. Along with a powder coated Chro- Moly frame, the Trekker series will have some exciting new features. First of course is the adjustable suspension in the frame. By putting the suspension in the frame we were able to shorten up the rear end a bit, and it made a HUGE difference in both handling and traction when compared to the traditional suspension systems we tested. Other features include a Flat Wheel Fold and Adjustable Handlebars. Trekker models will come equipped with our signature Mesh Seat with 4 adjustable angles and 3 height positions.However for those that would prefer a Hardshell Seat with a Ventisit type pad and Neckrest, we can also accommodate you- there is a $75.00 charge for the substitution. X Seam Ranges have also been increased – the Trekker will accommodate riders with X Seams from 34 ¼ (with optional 152 mm crankarms and Z Bars) to 47 ¼” (900mm-1200mm). We can also accommodate even larger X Seams- up to 51″ with an optional XL Boom ($50 additional) . Rounding out the features are Avid BB7 Disc Brakes with locking Parking Brake Levers, a High End Forged Crankset with CNC Machined Rings with an Integrated Bottom Bracket, a double Idler System (single idler on Trekker 26) which is as nice as anything any manufacturer makes, and finally a new CNC Machined Rear Derailleur – the Microshift Marvo XE paired with the TS-B10 Microshift Bar End Shifters .Schwalbe Trykers/Marathon Racer Tires are standard. -

Trident's folding Stowaway trikes have a Powder Coated 4130 Cro-Moly Tig Welded Frame, as well as Avid Brakes/ Promax Levers with Parking Brake, Double Wall Alloy Rims, and Ackerman Compensated Crossover Steering.
The Stowaway II is the High Spec Model. It has 30 Speeds (3 x 10) It uses a Microshift Front Derailleur and a Microshift Marvo XE CNC Machined Rear Derailleur. Shifting is done with Bar End Shifters. The Brakes are Avid BB7’s. The Cassette is a SRAM PG-970 11-36. The Crankset is a High End Forged Crankset with CNC Machined Rings, and an Integrated External Bearing Bottom Bracket. The seat frame, handlebar and boom are Sandblasted and Anodized Aluminum Alloy. The Stowaway II is available with your choice of either 170mm Cranks or with 160 mm Short Cranks. There are also a few available with 152mm Crankarms. “Z” steering bars are also available for extremely short X Seams. Longer Booms ($50 Additional) will accommodate riders up to 51″ X Seam.
Stowaway models include an Aluminum Mesh seat with 3 adjustable seating heights, and 4 adjustable seating angles . An optional adjustable neckrest is also available as an accessory. Stowaway II also has adjustable handlebars.
The Stowaway II 24" has a 24" rear wheel. It has a standard 30 Speed with a gear inch range of 19.9” to 113.2”. It comes with your choice of 170mm or 160mm, or 152mm Crankarms.
Included with all models are a Rear Rack, a full set of 3 Fenders, a Safety Flag, a Mirror, and a Rear Light.
The Stowaway II is Available in Carolina Blue, Wolfpack Red and Wasabi Green
